Blocking all internet traffic except 4 websites

Hi all,

We have a PC that is due to be used by a security guard to monitor a CCTV system.  As the security guard is not technically a member of staff we want to lock down the computer they will be using so that they can only access the 4 x websites that stream the CCTV images.

I am hoping to achieve this using Sophos.

I just setup a new policy which sucessfully blocks all traffic but I cannot seem to get the rule settings correct to allow access to the 4 x websites.

As anyone able to advise the best way to achieve this?  Or how I should configure the rules?

I am not sure if it makes a difference, but we access the IP addresses to view the CCTV images (e.g. http://80.12.345.67).

Thanks

  • Hello mjgreen81,

policy which sucessfully blocks all traffic

are you talking about a Firewall (SCF) policy or? And what is all traffic - this question might sound dumb but as you mention Sophos this PC is obviously not practically cut off. Maybe if you could tell what exactly you have defined so far in the new policy it'd be easier to give a hint.
