On-Access scanning option: Deny Access only

We are going to be moving from a weekely scheduled scan to the on-access (read and write) option for our servers. I was looking at the cleaning options and we will probably go with "Automattically clean up items..." and the "Deny access only" if it's not able to be cleaned.

Currently, our weekly scans take days on the file servers, so there's a chance that someone could put up an infected file before I have a chance to turn this option on.  We are a college, so we don't have exact control over the student's machines.

I was wondering what the user would see if they tried to access an infected file that's on the server already.  If they'd get a warning, does anyone have a screen shot of what it looks like? Is it a typical windows denied access... so it looks like it would be a permission issue, or would it say something about it being infected?

Thanks!
