Can the swi_update_64 and swi_update be set to manual?

Hi,

Will these services still perform as required if they are set to a manual startuptype?

Thank you.

  • Hello AVHinton,

may I ask why you want to change the startup type?

swi_update updates the LSP, according to Enterprise Console reports error a058000c it does so only [...] during a reboot. If you look at the swi_update Services key it is in the Event Log service group. Thus changing its startup type might have undesired effects. Furthermore I assume its parameters are reset during a MajorInstall so your change will likely not persist.
