Disable manipulation-protection Sophos Endpoint Security 10.0

We have an old notebook with Sophos and cannot find the password anymore, that allows us to disable the manipulation-protection.

I like to remove Sophos from that machine completely and there is no backup without Sophos that I could use for restore.

Is there a way to uninstall Sophos from that machine?

Thanks for help.

  • Hi serranonymous,

    thanks for your reply.

I've gone through all the instructions, but it seems like I always need the PW for tamper-protection.

Though I am member of the Sophos Administrator Group, I cannot proceed without this password for tamper-protection. The server of our network does not exist anylonger and this notebook never has been registered in the enterprise console.

Is there no way to tamper the tamper-protection without password? I just like to uninstall Sophos from that notebook, but without pw ...

    Thanks for helping so far.

    Bernd
