Why isn't there a firewall included for Windows Servers in Sophos Endpoint Security Advanced?

  • Hello kbkg,

Why isn't there a firewall included for Windows Servers

because Sophos doesn't make one. On the surface it might seem simply to adapt the client firewall functionality to a server environment - but the devil's in the details and you'll probably end up with two distinct products. In addition, a server firewall would likely have to be unmanaged (or at least "individually managed" which doesn't fit into the current framework).  And as sandy has already noted there's no(t much) demand for such a product . This together makes it all but impossible to build a compelling business case.
