threat message re Troj/Fujif-Gen

I keep getting a Sophos message popping up alerting me to "virus/spyware' Troj/Fujif-Gen that has been detected and moved to quarantine. However, clicking to view quarantine manager reveals that the virus has not been moved there. I understand that this problem occurred about 18 months ago and the Sophos advice was to clear the browser cache. So I cleared the browser cache for all three browsers on my computer and rebooted but the message is still appearing. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so how can it be removed?

  • Dear Christian,

The QM was empty. I followed your advice. There was an issue with Sophos accessing my Dropbox cache that seemed to cause it some trouble. Deleting the offending item from the cache, and then from the computer, seemed to refocus Sophos. It has been nearly 40 minutes and the popup message no longer appears. The problem appears to have been resolved. Thanks for your help.
