Sophos 10.3 will not complete scan

Just downloaded Sophos 10.3 for Windows PC and tried to scan computer twice. Both times seemed to be running fine, then stopped after about 20 minutes. Scan log said "scan aborted." How do I get it to run complete scan?

downloaded Sophos 10.3
from Sophos and a trial? Anyway, what else is in the log before the aborted (and what is the exact message)?
