  • Hi Entong

On the computer, select 'Start | Programs | Sophos | View network communications report'

Communication is done on ports 8192, 8193, and 8194 TCP and UDP.

If these ports are blocked (maybe by a firewall on the machine, on the server or inbetween, or something isnt right with DNS, this will influence the communication.

Updating happens over the UNC. so the PC can update but wont communicate.

When you open the Network communications report, if anything is wrong with the communication, it will tell you at which stage and provide a link with instructions on how to resolve.

Sophos Endpoint is awesome where is doesnt give you an error without leading you to what to look at next.

If the network communications report is not there, is it posisbly a standalone version installed?

Remote Management system should be seen in the Programs & Features /Add Remove Programs section.

You can install it manually if you want (Under the SAVSCFXP folder will be a RMS dircetory with a .msi installer)

    Hope this helps. :)
