Deploy Endpoint protection to Windows Server 2012 NON R2

I am unable to deploy Endpoint protection to a Windows Server 2012 NON R2 system from the SEC. I am running console version 5.2.1 R2 but I am still receiving the "The applied software subscription does not contain software this computer can use" Error. I have tried all solutions outlined in Article ID: 119728. Is a NON R2 2012 Server supported?
