Sophos account on Active Directory has been Locked Out

Hello,

I have problem with Sophos EndPoint protection on my client. I've been installing endpoint in there succesfully.  But i have a 3 pc that join in Active Directory that meet some problem. On AD user account, that sophos account for that pc is locked out, that cause update failed. I must release them manually so update can running well. What can cause that?

  • Hello stopworking,

I'm not sure I understand you correctly - the SophosSAU account is usually a local account except on domain controllers.

Do these 3 PCs use the same account (SVR somewhat smacks of server :smileywink:) and how did it get there in the first place? The account and its (obfuscated) password are in HKLM\Software\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Service as Download User and Download Password. That the account gets locked out suggests that at least one client using this account has a wrong password stored.
