Client's AutoUpdate is not configured

After installing Sophos on a client, the AutoUpdate properties are not being configured per the policy.  

What is the normal process for a client to receive the AutoUpdate policy after Sophos is installed?

    Hello funkedup,

    after Sophos has been installed the endpoint should appear as managed and status 'Awaiting policy from console'. If SEC can connect to endpoint port 8194 this should change to 'Same as' in about a minute. Otherwise it might take longer but less than one hour. In any case you should see at least the Primary location configured.
