Sophos install on a laptop with both local account and a domain account

Hi,

I just installed sophos on a laptop that is signed into both a local account and a domain account. Sophos is installed and activated on the domain account but on the local account, the firewall is disabled and grey'd out. Any suggestions as to why this may be?

  • Hello zaqwsx1234,

    the firewall is disabled ...

what are the symptoms - a red cross on the Taskbar icon (and a potential pop-up)? And when the GUI is opened the Firewall items are grey? This suggests that both the Sophos Client Firewall service and the Sophos Client Firewall Manager service are stopped. The services run under the Local System account thus should be independent of the logged on user. Re-reading your post - I'm not sure what you mean by signed into both a local account and a domain account.
