Sophos audit - update interval

Sophos 5 enterprise console

We are going through an audit and need the answer to the following questions - 

How often does Sophos check for definitions from the web (by default)?

How often does Sophos check domain computers to see if updates are needed (by default)?

    Hi,

    SUM updates on 2 schedules by default:

    1. Every 10 minutues for data updates.
    2. Every 60 mins for product updates.

    The clients check the update location every 10 minutes by default.

    The clients also make lookups to the cloud as and when required so you could argue this is realtime data.

    You can check what you have configured for the above update intervals in Enterprise Console under the Update Manager configuration (Update manager view) and under the updating policies as shown in the endpoint list view.
