Unmanaged Endpoint installation

We have a very small network ( 5 endpoints) where the endpoint security is not managed  through a console.

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to export the settings from one PC to use as a template to import to the other PC's ?

  • Hi Christian,

Thanks for your reply. I am actually trialing the package at the minute  - but you are correct in that we do not have a management server. I am thinking of being able to replicate settings across the 5 endpoints on installation.without having to go through each one seperately. ( On reflection it may be that the default settings are near enough OK)

I am thinking of settings such as update frequency, the scheduled scan settings , priority level on scans  and also cleanup options . My current AV setup ( AVG business) allows me to export a settings file having set up one PC and this can then be imported to the others.

Yes I would also be thinking of "poor mans" management in the event of wanting to make changes later. It would be nice to have  a management server but it is not an option right now. I like the Sophos setup ( the endpoint agent is very straightforward) - although maybe Sophos is more targeted / suitable for bigger companies.
