Endpoint Security Client Install Package

Our Endpoint Security software recently updated itself and in turn, all the clients got updated software with a fancy new icon. We are replacing a workstation and went to the client install folder on the network server and ran the installer and the old version with the old shield icon was installed.

1) Is there an updated client install EXE file that we can put in the folder on the server?

2) Do we just install the old version and when it first updates, will it update itself?

Any advice is appreciated.

  • Hi and thanks.

Our environment is a workgroup and we have a Windows 2003 Server that serves as a file server, email server, etc.

We do run the latest version of the SCC. When I do a discovery on the network (Protect New Computers), the new client doesn't show up, however, it is listed in the list but is grayed out with an unknown OS.

Are there some special instructions that are available that will allow me to configure the Windows 7 client so that the SCC can discover it and push the install?

    Thanks.
