Sophos Enterprise Console + Endpoints + Windows Azure

Hello guys!

I've just installed Enterprise Console in a Windows Azure server and I would like to know if I can install endpoints in desktops and manage them through Windows Azure.
Right now I am trying to install the clients but I am not able to communicate with Windows Azure...

Is it even possible to do this? Has anyone ever tried?

Hi,
Never tried but if the clients, using an IPV4 address can connect to ports (TCP) 8192 and 8194 of the server through some name or IP it should be possible to make it work.
Note:. if you can connect to port 8192 of the server from a client, obtain the IOR (string returned), using telnet:
telnet server 8192
copy and paste the returned string into a text file and make it all one line, then put it in http://catior.org. The address you get back would be used by the client to get to 8194. I assume that is also ok? If not, it can be made to be an FQDN rather than an IP. http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/50832.aspx has more info on using the hostname_in_ior switch.
I assume you might be using HTTP updating? Does the server also have IIS on for example to enable this? If so, say, port 80 would be required..
I would then probably build an installer package from the CID, essentialy running setup.exe from it a number of switches. See: http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/12386.aspx.
