Hi,
we are considering moving to a Server 2008R2 Remote Desktop Services setup providing users with full virtual desktops (not just publishing apps). The plan would be to have 3 RDS Session Hosts in a farm and 1 RDS Connection Broker that also acted as the user profile store. These would all be running as VMs on 3 Hyper-V 2012 hosts.
Anybody got any experience of this kind of setup and pointers on Sophos endpoint protection configurations/best practices for both RDS VMs on Hyper-V and publishing virtual desktops using RDS?
I've got the MS line on anti-virus exclusion best practice but there is little there specific to RDS.
Thinking out loud, what will be the impact on the RDS session host in terms of memory usage for Sophos AV running in (potentially) 30 concurrent user sessions? Is it as simple as looking at the memory usage for 1 user and mulitplying it by 30?
I asked the question of support but only got pointers to these kb articles that don't give too much in the way of configuration pointers
:
Any wisdom/guidance gratefully recieved.
