Custom mrinit.conf is persistent?

Hi there,

I want to change my RMS address from the host fqdn to a custom fqdn.

What is the proper way to do it so that mrinit.conf will always have the new address, and not the server fqdn?

I know I can change it under the CID directory, and do a configcid, but I'm unsure if I need to edit it and rerun configcid every time there is a version change.

Regards,

Ricardo

  • HI,

There are multiple copies of the file on the management server, in the Enterpise Console directory, in the SUM installer share, etc..

I would suggest searching for all files by this name and edit them all.  This will ensure if you create a new CID in the future for example, it will get the correct file copied to it.
