BEX Problem with Sophos Data Protection Suite on Win 7 64 Bit

I have downloaded and am trying to install the following on my Windows 7 64bit laptop. I have delete my previous Norton 360 and restarted. I have tried 130604 escw_102_sa_sfx, escw_100_sa_sfx and savw_102_sa_sfx and all have had the same error. When I right click and run as administrator, I start to install and get the following:

  • Hello SECURITYMANAGER,

I have delete my previous Norton 360 - surely you mean uninstalled? Setup.exe isn't some fancy application and shouldn't encounter such an exception (access violation, more specifically buffer overflow or DEP - I assume the latter as it mentions Stack_Hash and the offset is quite large). Can't say what's causing it. You might want to check the Event Log for preceding errors. Don't think that setup.exe is at fault (otherwise there'd be more reports) so it's probably specific to your computer. Nevertheless the problem seems, for now, only to surface with setup.exe so I suggest you contact Support directly - the might have some tips how to proceed.
