policy stages

in management console, what are the stages of policy compliance and why sometimes it shows "same as policy" and at times "differs from policy"?

    Hello Rino.

    the check is performed on the client (the Agent compares the settings in effect to the values in the cache -  %ProgramData%\Sophos\Remote Management System\3\Agent\AdapterStorage\). The meaning of Same and Differs should be self-evident. If you change a policy the status changes to Awaiting policy transfer ... (meaning the policy has to be sent to or pulled by the endpoint). If the policy is successfully applied on the client the status changes to Same, if not (or the client doesn't respond within a certain interval) the status is Differs.
