Remote hacker/cracker accessed my MacBook Pro, Sophos did not detect any malware. Help?

This morning the Photo Booth on my MacBook (Mac OS 10.6.8) suddenly started up (showing me live), then the mouse pointer began pulling down menus. I have no remote access software, have never accessed my laptop remotely, and do not use iCloud. My home WiFi is WPA encrypted with a strong password. I do not carry my computer outside the home and have not left it unattended in public.

I quickly shut off AirPort and ran Sophos 8.0.14C, Engine 3.43.10, Threat data 4.89. Sophos found no viruses or other malware.

I'd appreciate any ideas on how I can block whoever has managed to get remote access to my laptop.
