Sophos Device Control issue - Fixed in 10.3.2

Hi,

We have an issue with Android / iPhone storage not been blocked by Port Control. According to the article below, 10.3.2 fixes this issue.

http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/116932.aspx

We have trialled the preview release available to us - 10.3.4 33 VDL4.96G and it appears to fix the issue.

However the latest recommended version of Sophos currently available 10.3.1 VDL4.96G is 1 release behind.

Please can anyone confirm when 10.3.2 will be available as a recommended version as we don't want to run preview in a live environment.

Thanks

  • The KBA should really say that is is fixed in "10.3.2 and above" as the fix is of course carried forward into later releases.

Not all releases move from Preview to Recommended, we are trying to only release software changes into Recommended once every 3 months or so which means some versions only ever exist in Preview and even then only for a very short time.

We currently expect SAV 10.3.7 to go into Recommended in April, this will contain all the changes that were in 10.3.2 (and above!) so this will be when you will get the MTP/PTP change you need in the Recommended subscription.

We are also planning to have the Preview and Recommended subscriptions overlap for about a month so that you can switch back to Recommended from Preview without having to downgrade.

    Hope this helps.
