Best way to clean up old errors and disconnected systems from Sophos

Hi everybody,

I'm wondering if there are simple ways to clean up Sophos, and I'm soliciting suggestions

I seem to have inherited a messy old installation of Sophos with tons of old errors and a wide array of old servers listed in the Enterprise Console. I don't think it was ever particularly actively managed, and I don't know a lot of the internals of how Sophos works - I'm pretty new to Sohpos.

For example, would there be a way to run a script to clean up old hostnames, for example by feeding a list into a batch file or powershell script?

I'm also not sure how to approach old errors, like virus reports. Policy generally seems like it was to leave error reports and asusme things were automatically quarantined. I'm not sure if that conforms to best practices for Sohpos.

To what extent do people just let alerts sit and let Sophos manage itself?
