MTP/WPD portable devices

I have looked and found information on blocking devices such as cameras, but I need inormation on allowing them. Since we have installed SOPHOS Endpoint we have users that cannot install camera drivers or a Trimble GPS drivers. The Camera is new but the Trimble device has been connected before. Both of these are Windows 7 OS.

We do not have Device Control police turned on.

Trying Manufacturer and Microsoft suggestions have not worked. I am hoping that I can get an answer here.

    Not sure why this hadn't showed up until we installed SOPHOS as it seems to be a Windows registry issue, but here is how you fix both a MTP and/or WDP device error:

    Run regedit.exe

    Open path:

        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{EEC5AD98-8080-425F-922A-DABF3DE3F69A}

    and find and remove item with name UpperFilters.
