Large update in April 2014

Is this update for client machines or for the enterprise server itself? We have a number of computers on slow link sites and are discussing ways of staggering the update to client machines so that the network isn't grounded to a halt. Are there any personal experiences with this by anyone?

  • Hello Mikehays,

this is for the endpoint component, i.e. clients. While the update is large do not forget that it is not excessively larger than previous large updates (say, from 10.0 to 10.2). It depends on the details of your network topology and group structure whether reasonable staggering is feasible or not. On a site with more than a handful of endpoints a SUM might be beneficial.
