first of all, fiddling with the database (on your own) is unsupported - thus there is no documentation.
Not discussing the details of reimaging and how likely it may cause issues, removing a computer from the database is a simple SQL DELETE. Note that the events and alerts associated with this computer will also be removed during this process. The crucial point is, naturally, to do it for the correct entries. I'd suggest you take a look on the threads for delete from computersanddeletedcomputers (especially note the difference between the ID and Name columns in the table).
