Active Directory Group Removal

We have moved off of Sophos and onto another AV solution.  The clients have a been ininstalled, and the server running the enterprise console has been wiped.  Is there anything special that needs to be done for all of the Sophos users and groups that were created in AD when we installed it?  Can they simply be deleted out of AD?

  • Hi,

They can safely be removed unless they have been re-unsed for another purpose.  It might be worth just disabling any accounts for a couple of weeks first, see if anyone compains X has stopped working then delete them if no problems are reported.

Could equally change the password and then look for failed logons but chances are they can be removed.

    Regards,

    Jak
