Sophos blocking 1Password on Mac Endpoints

This issue also affects corporate users, and I don't find any mention in this forum or Sophos' KB:

What's Sophos position on this? Agile Bits, maker of 1Password, recommends whitelisting 127.0.0.1 . I don't really think that's good practice.
