SAV Message: No valid temporary directory

A users computer is reporting some error messages that I don't quite understand.  Sophos and google searches have failed me thus far.  I don't think it's urgent, but as it's occuring on a VIP, best to check out.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Jon

  • Hi,

    Does the directory referenced in:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\[Wow6432Node]\Sophos\SAVService\Application

    TempDir

Exist, it should be something like:

    C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\Temp

You may wish to check the permissions on the directory also.

    Regards,

    Jak
