pointer to Linux Anti Virus for AMD64 and SAVI Perl

I've been using www.sophos.com/sophos/products/full/linux.intel.libc6.tar.Z on Ubuntu 32 bit hardware.

I'm upgrading to 64 bit hardware, plus it looks like the above URL is going to disappear.

Furthermore, I'm using a Perl module called SAVI, which does not compile on AMD64 machines.

Would somebody mind giving me a few suggestions on how to upgrade.

    linux.intel.libc6.tar.Z is for incredibly old Linux versions (more than 10 years old), you should be using linux.intel.libc6.glibc.2.2.tar for x86 Linux Sophos Anti-Virus 4 installs. 

    The most obvious choice is to continue running x86 (32-bit) binaries on your new machine, and using linux.intel.libc6.glibc.2.2.tar, and the x86 build of SAVI-Perl (and probably 32-bit perl as well?)

    Alternatively Sophos produce linux.amd64.glibc.2.3.tar.Z, which is a version of SAV4 (including libsavi), compiled for AMD64 native.

    However SAVI-Perl isn't a Sophos product, so I suggest you contact the author to see if he will update his code for AMD64, or you could do it yourself?
