Sophos 10. Installation on a VDI template

HI there,

As part of an organisation-wide move to Windows 7 I am required to create a new VDI template and also as part of this install Sophos 10 on the base image.

The issue I am having is previously with the Windows XP desktops we installed Sophos 9 and could strip out the unique information from the install using the method detailed here:

http://www.online-it-support.co.uk/?p=1001

The benefit of this was that once a new machien was created form the template and added to our domain it was a simple case of just running the autoupdate service, which would repopulate all the unique infomation in the install and prevent issues on the server side with replication.

The above method doesn't work with Sophos 10 as some of the steps arent applicaple. Most notably the Sophos/autoupdate/data folder doesn't exist.

Is there a more up-to-date or new method available for achieving the same as the above in a sophos 10 install?

It would be a pain to have to manually install it on 700 machines.

Thanks in advance,
