Disable upgrade from 9.5 to 10

Is there any way to disable the upgrade of Endpoint from 9.5 to 10? We have it installed on a Windows 2000 server which hangs once Endpoint 10 is installed, in the same fashion as described here:Endpoint 10 hangs Windows 2000.

Is it possible to continue to get updates to the definitions but not the application?

Hi,
To prevent the automatic upgrade to Endpoint 10
If you prefer to stay on the 9.5 and 9.7 package as described above, you will need to change your existing subscriptions of 9.5 and 9.7 to the Extended Maintenance release.
