I just attempted the upgrade (which failed) and now my Console is unusable. I am attempting to repair the problem. Here's my log file:

       My server was in a state where the Management Console could not be uninstalled. We were able to uninstall it using Microsoft's FixIt utility. We then uninstalled the other 2 components (database and update manager) and reinstalled the product. We were able to upgrade my existing database after some effort (including restoring from backup) and, eventually, got to a state where I was running 5.2 with my existing database upgraded. Some SQL tables had to be modified and we had quite a bit of trouble running the upgradedb.exe utility but support finally got me up and running again.
