[SOLVED] SEC 5.1 : Certification Manager and Message Router on Server won't start

Hello,

I've a problem with our SEC 5.1 Enterprise Server.
The Certification Manager and Message Router services won't start.

I have a Error 1067 on the service's start.

The Server OS is W2K8 R2 SP1 64b + SEC 5.1 + SafeGuard.

All the protected computer's are RED in the console. All the update managers can't update.

My diag  :

- Not a firewall issue,

- The problem has appeared after a server's restart. On boot, I use a script generated with the EMU (Endpoint Migration Utility with .hta) in order the migrate all the Endpoint on a new server. Unfortunately, this script generated for the endpoint computer was also executed on the SEC Server.

- I've launched the SDU 1.4.9 on the server, and i've checked all the generated logs.

In the router-20130115-141218.log, i've found this :

15.01.2013 15:13:46 0FB8 I SOF: C:\ProgramData/Sophos/Remote Management System/3/Router/Logs/Router-20130115-141346.log

  • Hi,

In that case, if you backup the reg key:

    HKLM\software\sophos

    and if exists (64-bit)

    HKLM\software\wow6432node\sophos

and then run in an Administrative command prompt:

    ServerInit.exe

from the Enterprise Console programs directory.

You should then be able to restart the router and certification manaqer.  You may want to check that clients can then message in to the server, i.e. lastmessagetimes are recent in the computer details tab of SEC.

    Regards,

    Jak
