Update Endpoint Security and Enterprise Console

Question

We have Sophos Endpoint Security 9.5 and Enterprise Console 4.7

What are the requirements, procedures, etc for updating Endpoint Security 9.5 to 10.0 and Enterprise Console 4.7 to 5.0?

Can we update directly? Or we need to install other previous versions?

Hi there,

It's very straight forward and your at the latest version so it should be totally trouble free:

Login to "MySophos" on Sophos.com and go to: 
 https://secure.sophos.com/support/updates/ 
 To get the installer for SEC 5: 
 https://secure.sophos.com/support/updates/dp/full/sec_50_sfx.exe

There are upgrade docs if you need them: 
 http://www.sophos.com/sophos/docs/eng/sec_50_ugeng.pdf 
 http://www.sophos.com/sophos/docs/eng/sesc_100_ugeng.pdf 
 but as the upgrade advisor is now built into the SEC 5 installer you'll be fine to run the setup.exe from C:\sec_50\ServerInsaller\ once unpacked from the downloaded file. This will run through all the pre-checks prior to updating your current install to SEC 5.

Once you've updated SEC to SEC 5. You can then go into the SUM configuration and modify your subscription to choose SAV 10.

You may see that once you've upgraded your application list in your application control policy is empty. If that's the case following the upgrade see: 
 http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/116427.html 
 It will auto correct within a few hours but if you can't wait that long you can follow the article to speed things up.
