Delete Device Control Protocol - Exceeding warning level

Hi,

we are using the Sophos Endpoint protection including the device control.

Since a few hours i get a lot of emails...

"One or more computers have exceeded the warning level for device control events."

So i looked in the device control protocol and gave some USB devices  full permissions.

But instead of decreasng the number of errors, the number is still present and i still got the same emails.

Am i able to delete the protocol entries?

Thank you and regards!

  • You cannot acknowledge or removed them (well without going into the database).  There is a seven day rolling job that acknowledges them so they'll clear after that.

To stop the emails you could select 'Tools' | 'Configure Dashboard' | 'Computers with events' panel, and increase the number of events.

And remember you can select 'Events' | 'Device Control Events' to view why the alerts appear.
