Sophos Enterprise console not connecting to update server

The sophos enterprise console is not connecting to the update server. It keeps on displaying that "Enterprise console is trying to downloading files that are required for the next step. This could take a lot of time. Do you want to continue waiting."

I confirmed that I have entered the correct user name and password given with the license schedule. I could install a Sophos endpoint security on one system using the same credentials. But only the enterprise console has the problem.

Kindly tell me what I should do to make it working.

    first of all, this step could take some time depending on a number of things. IIRC it has verified connectivity with the Warehouse at this point. You don't have to choose to to wait as it will continue with the download in the background and should eventually finish - you'll see this on the dashboard under Updates. As long as it hasn't finished it'll show Downloading binaries under Download status and Never under Last updated in the Update Managers view.  Once it has completed (whether successful or not) the status changes to Last checked ... If there are any issues there will be a corresponding Alert/Error.

    If there is no apparent progress for hours you'd have to take a look at the logs.
