Device control and External drives

External drives are an unfortunate fact of life but because of their portability they represent a data protection threat to the organisation.

We have recently enabled device control on all our networked pc's and they are working fine with the provided Crypto usb keys. Unfortunately there are quite a number of external drives in the organisation also which need to be replaced as a result on this policy enforcement but the problem is finding compatible drives. I've tried WD with My passport and it is being rejected as understandably the drive can be used encrypted or unencrypted. I have not the funds to start purchasing various models of external drives to test compatibility and would liek to know what drives are supported (min 1TB).

Anyone know where I can get a definitive list? there is a list of approved USB keys alright but I can't find one for hard drives.

Thanks
