Sophos Enterprise Console Rollback?

Hi,

Is it possible to go back to an older Version of Sophos Enterprise Console. Current Version is 5.0.0.8., but we have an Update Failure after the latest Upgrade....

    Hello 121212,

    in theory it is possible provided you have the necessary backups (or a timely snapshot). But IMO it's to tackle the failure - usually it's not too hard to solve.

    Hi Christian,

    Thx for reply. No, I don't have Backups here, the Problem is, the Update-Server doesn't support our Version of Enterprise Console and Updates failed.

    Maybe i can solve it with a new installation of the older version, how can i save my settings and data in EC?

    Is the previous (SOPHOS4x) database still available? If not then you'd have to recreate you groups and policies after the "new-old" install. Otherwise SEC would "jump back" in time and commence from there.

    As downgrading SEC is not supported (in the sense that it doesn't work) and DataBackupRestore is AFAIK not available pre-5.0 you'd have to export the CertificationManager registry keys and the private store and then uninstall 5.0 before installing the old version again.
