New Sophos anti-virus for Mac 7.2.0 coming..

Hi Everyone,

I learned today that a new Sophos anti-virus for Mac is coming out by Oct 26th, 2010. Its version 7.2.0 and based on this site below it looks to have many of the things I've wanted to see.

    Hi VCU

    The new version of Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac (v7.2) was released on 12 October.  The press release accompanying this is here:

    This software is available for customers to download now and we will be upgrading customers to do this new version in a staged rollout.

    Hello VCU,

    yes, definitely a number of improvements, the Quarantine Manager the most obvious one. I'm not a regular Mac user so I can't really comment on usability.

    I don't know - and have not yet tested - whether the RMS component has changed (specifically: that the client can be directed to a new management server by means of mrinit.conf) but I think this would have made it to the release notes.

    Hi,

    I placed a feature request for RMS relay use for the Mac and QC appears to be interested in this aw well. Is there any information on when this will be available?

    I also placed a feature request for managed group installs with the Mac like that which is available now for the Sophos Windows version. Is there any way to check on the status of this.
