Pulling my hair out here, I have 2 clients which are both running xp, and both have windows firewall turned off, however I am still unable to deploy the installation from the SEC. I have 48 other pc's (a mixture of xp and win7) which have updated fine. I have read about ports 445 etc needing to be open, but surely this isnt necessary if windows firewall is turned off?
I had about 15 clients produce the 0x000002e error on the initial roll out but this problem was resolved by turning windows firewall off for the installation.
The 2 machines left i have made sure:
file and print is on
remote registry enabled
task scheduler enabled
windows installer not disabled
Can anyone help before 2 PC's end up being thrown out of a 4th story window.....
