windows hosts file

Does Sophos Endpoint protection block lookups to the Windows hosts file? I've noticed that windows is ignoring entries in this file even since I installed Endpoint.

Hello braxton, when access to a file is blocked the fact is logged. In addition you also won't be able to open the file with an editor. What are the issues that make you think Windows is ignoring entries? Christian

I was mistaken, I tried another entry and it worked. I wrongfully associted with the problem with sophos because I had just installed the software before I made the change. Thanks for the response
