Sophos and Network loss

Recently my company have started to roll out Sophos Anti-Virus, I have a small number of Viglen and Mesh Windows XP PC's when Sophos is installed networking fails and network drives and Internet access are not available. If I remove Sophos networking is available. Any ideas on why this should happen. I am happy to post any logs to further help my cause.

TIA

Scott

  • Hi Scrc

Did you install the Sophos client firewall?

The above component of Sophos is the only one that ha the capabilities of preventing programs/access.

If it is installed, set it into an interactive mode and it will prompt you when a program is executed or wants access.

Is the Sophos client firewall is not installed, look for any suspicious files and confirm if they are legitimate and authorize them.

Else it is unlikely it is Sophos.

Have you checked in the Event viewer for any errors?

    :)
