On access scanning grayed out on some machines and not others

I've got a fairly simple setup and I have a policy for workstations and one for servers.

All workstations use the workstations policy, but on some machines I can't configure alot of the client. Most things are greyed out incl On Access while other clients are fully configurable.

What would be the reason behind it?

SEC 4.7.0.13

Cli: 9.7

  • Hello m86akl ,

I assume you mean the GUI on the client. Items are greyed out if the user you logged in with is not a member of the SophosAdministrators group or Tamper Protection is enabled (you should know if you did so :smileywink:). You can check the former by clicking View product information (on the left) which displays the Current user rights in the topmost (General) section.

Please check if all the clients comply with the policies. Just to make sure scanning is working correctly you should test with either savtst32 (from the \sec_47\tools folder) or eicar
