  • Hi Christian,

at the movement it is not causing me much trouble. but my firewall was getting lot of hits from workstations. which increase network traffic to the firewall. i know that the firewalls are designed to handle this kind of traffic, but it will be good if i can reduce these hits. a little bit breathing space to the firewall.

what i found on the last weekend is some of the computers are still looking for the old AV server for updates. i have changed the AV to new server some time last year. i don't know how few computers are missed the new server and still looking for the old server. i guess this may be the reason for network hits. as those servers are not communicating to the old AV server, they are connecting to internet to download its updates. but still need to check the remaining workstations to confirm that all of them got new server in AV. it is tricky as i can see all workstations from EMC console, but when i check the workstation physically some are not connected.

    thank you,
