License overview

Hi all,

is there a way to see the license information in the Enterprise Console? I'd like to have an overview that tells me, how many endpoint clients I can still deploy to remain in the licensed number of endpoints.

Are those endpoints counted anyway?

And can I see anywhere in the EC, what products I have exactly licensed?

Or is the only way to see all this information in my license document?

Thanks

Regards,

Michael

  • HI,

SEC will not prevent the ability to protect additional clients beyond your license.  The only thing in SEC that is license oriented is if you open up SEC, go to the SUM list view, open a Subscription.  The license name is shown. this essentially determines the packages that you can subscribe to as the license links you to a specific warehouse.

If you have multiple licenses and unsure of how many clients you are licensed to protect, you can drop Support a call or email and they can tell you.

  • Hello Michael,

as Jak said, the number of clients is not counted and enforced (quote: Licensee is wholly responsible for the compliance by Users with this License Agreement). Neither are other terms (like the limits for use on servers) except that Support politely refuses to work with an obvious end-user :smileyhappy:. In case you're interested - there's the legal stuff

As to the scope of your license (talking about endpoint), if you view a subscription the field Licence: at the top right below the Subscription name will tell the product name. If you have correctly linked all your product credentials with your MySophos account you'll also find the name (together with the license period) on the My Account page. With the name you can look up the components included in Sophos licenses and what components are included with each. In addition the Downloads and Updates page will list the components included in the license together with the corresponding links.

  • Hello Jak and QC,

thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it, because I'm pretty new to Sophos products. We were using Trend Micro and things are different there :-)
