Antivirus v8.0.6 Mac - SophosUIServer not running

Hi,

I have added SophosUIServer to my login items and ensured that "show status in menu bar" is ticked. When I restart my computer SophosUIServer does not start running and the sophos shield is not shown in the menu bar. If I start SophosUIServer then the shield shows up.

Can anyone advise as to what is going wrong?

    is it 8.0.6 (the licensed version) or 8.0.6.C (the Home Edition)? While they are in principle identical in the latter case FreeTalk is the right place for this question (searching for SophosUIServer there gives returns several threads). For the licensed product you (or you site's IT) should contact support.
