Unable to install Sophos (XP)

Hey guys, i cant install Sophos on my Windows XP pc. I see it running through the task manager, and then it disappears.

I dont see any errros though. I have tried restarting multiple times and even left it on for 40minutes with no results

    I also have several XP machines on which Sophos cannot be installed.  I watched the process dwindle and disappear as did the original poster.  We've tried installing in Safe Mode with Networking, as the Local Admin, as myself an Internal IT Admin, and even copied the installer/executable to the desktop and tried installing in Safe Mode with Networking.  It failed each time.

    I've no errors in Windows and the install does not produce any error.  I reviewed the %tmp file and there is nothing there to indicate why a failure is occuring.  I checked the error logs in Windows and don't find anything there.

    These are mission critical machines and have old legacy apps on them.  Our CA antivirus is being decommissioned at the end of July so we need Sophos to work on these machines.
