Why does the console not show successful updates from secondary server ?

Hello,

Everything is in the title.

I've got a few machine online that show update status "unknown" and it says update failed from main server but the machine is up to date and its local log says update from secondary was OK. So ?

    Hello PJ,

    if updating from the Secondary also fails (or there isn't a Secondary) then the message is ERROR: Could not find a source for updated packages but IIRC you get it only when the update fails for all components. In case a managed computer updates from Sophos it won't be able to download RMS, naturally this is not a total failure.

    Here, it looks like machines are out of date

    Unknown (if I read your initial post correctly) is not out of date - it might be, for example, that the clients have pulled the newest IDEs from Sophos which the SUM has yet to download and deploy.
