Iexplore.exe,Outlook.exe,Regedit.exe

We are using Sophos Version 10.3.1. Sophos is threatening Iexplore.exe, Outlook.exe, and Regedit.exe files like suspicious. Even Sophos auto update files also threatening like virus files. And we are receiving lots and lots of Buffer overflows for these files only. How can we resolve this issue? Someone please help on this. Awaiting for this solution. Whenever we are contacting support with some samples, they are confirming that these all files are genuine. But still latest version 10.3.1 is taking like Suspicious and virus files. Not only these three files, even adobe reader, WinZip...which ever under C:\ program files/application files threating like suspicious and virus files.

  • The only two things I can think that could be doing that are:

    a) Hardware failure corrupting memory.

    b) Some malware injecting threads into running processes.

You could do some checking for a) with memtest

For b) you could talk to support about getting Sophos Bootable Anti-Virus to try and do an offline scan of the system?
